Our client is looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their supportive and collaborative team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong end-to-end payroll experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering accurate and compliant payroll.
You’ll play an important role in ensuring payroll is processed smoothly and efficiently, while also supporting employees with payroll queries and contributing to ongoing system and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end, high-volume payroll processing across multiple entities
Ensure payroll is accurate, timely and compliant with relevant legislation
Maintain employee records and ensure payroll data is accurate and up to date
Manage payroll queries and provide support to employees and internal stakeholders
Complete payroll reconciliations and assist with reporting requirements
Support audits and maintain strong internal controls
Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and systems
Assist with payroll system updates, improvements and implementations
About You
Proven experience in a high-volume payroll environment
Strong understanding of NZ payroll legislation and compliance
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working with payroll systems and technology
Experience with PayGlobal, IPayroll, Workforce, IMS Payroll or Humanforce would be beneficial
Exposure to payroll system implementations or process improvement would be advantageous
