An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Shared Services Manager to join their Christchurch-based team.

This is a fantastic opportunity and a key leadership role overseeing transactional finance operations across the Group, with responsibility for teams in Christchurch, Auckland and Manila. You’ll have the opportunity to drive process improvement, embrace new technology and help shape the future of House of Travel’s finance function.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead, coach and develop the Shared Services and Central Accounts teams across NZ and offshore

  • Take ownership of transactional finance operations across the Group, including AP, AR and wider finance administration

  • Oversee end-to-end procure-to-pay and order-to-cash processes, ensuring a high level of service, accuracy and control

  • Use data and performance insights to identify inefficiencies, reduce manual processing and improve the overall cost and service delivery of finance operations

  • Work closely with Finance, Treasury, Procurement and IT to improve systems, workflows, payment processes and banking arrangements

  • Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives as House of Travel continues to evolve its finance systems and processes

  • Maintain strong financial controls and governance while creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

  • Build strong relationships across the business and ensure finance is delivering a great service to its internal stakeholders

About you

You’ll be an experienced transactional finance or shared services leader who enjoys combining people leadership with process improvement. You’ll be comfortable looking at the bigger picture while still understanding the detail behind AP, AR and finance administration.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • Experience leading transactional finance or shared services functions

  • Proven experience managing and developing finance teams

  • Strong AP, AR and financial controls knowledge

  • Experience improving processes, systems and/or automation within a finance environment

  • Strong ERP and finance systems experience, with D365 Finance & Operations highly regarded

  • Confidence working with data to identify trends, inefficiencies and opportunities

  • Experience working with offshore or geographically dispersed teams would be advantageous

  • A commercially minded and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to influence stakeholders and get things moving
