Human Resources Business Partner

Location: Christchurch Central, Canterbury

Salary: $125,000 – $140,000 per year

This is a great opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys being close to the business, getting stuck into a broad range of people matters and making things happen.

Working as a HR Business Partner, you’ll partner with leaders across the organisation, providing practical HR advice while also taking ownership of key people initiatives and projects. This is a generalist role with plenty of variety and the opportunity to have a genuine influence across the business.

What you’ll be doing

• Partnering with leaders to provide sound, commercially focused HR advice

• Supporting remuneration and people data, using insights to inform decision-making

• Leading and implementing people-related projects and change initiatives

• Keeping employees informed and engaged throughout periods of change

• Managing employment and policy projects through to completion

• Supporting the full employee lifecycle, including ER, performance, recruitment and development

• Providing practical advice across a broad range of HR matters

• Building strong relationships with managers and employees across the business

What we’re looking for

You’ll be a confident HR generalist who is comfortable operating independently and working with stakeholders at all levels.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Several years' experience in a broad HR or People & Culture Advisory or Business Partner role

• Strong commercial and analytical capability, with confidence working with people data and remuneration

• Experience supporting or leading organisational change

• The confidence to challenge and influence when needed

• Experience within construction, infrastructure, utilities or another operational environment would be highly regarded
