People & Culture Coordinator

Location: Christchurch Central, Canterbury

Job Type: Full time

Salary: $60,000 – $75,000 per year

We're looking for an organised and people-focused People & Culture Coordinator to join a busy and collaborative team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to build on their HR experience within a supportive organisation.

Working closely with the wider People & Culture team, you'll provide day-to-day HR administration and coordination while supporting a range of initiatives across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training, and people processes.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating recruitment activities, including advertising, interview scheduling and onboarding

  • Preparing employment agreements, contracts and HR documentation

  • Maintaining employee records and ensuring data accuracy within HR systems

  • Supporting managers and employees with day-to-day HR queries

  • Assisting with learning and development, wellbeing and engagement initiatives

  • Coordinating HR reporting and maintaining compliance documentation

  • Providing administrative support across the wider People & Culture function

About You

You'll be someone who enjoys working with people, has excellent organisational skills, and takes pride in delivering a high level of service.

Ideally you'll have:

  • Previous experience in an HR, People & Culture or Recruitment Coordinator role

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline (or be working towards one)

  • Strong administration and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail

  • Confident communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships

  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work proactively

  • Experience using HRIS systems would be advantageous
