About the Company
Our client, Pope Textile Bag and Packaging, has been a trusted supplier to New Zealand’s agricultural and industrial sectors for over 100 years. With a proven track record of quality, reliability, and strong partnerships, they are a market leader in woven and knitted packaging solutions, including silage film wrapping, net wrap, twine, woolpacks, bulk bags, and more.

Pope’s products support the daily operations of some of the largest players in the primary industries. With an expanding product range and renewed focus on growth within the agricultural sector, they are now looking to strengthen their presence across the South Island.

The Opportunity
We’re seeking a Territory Agri Sales Executive on behalf of our client to join their experienced and high-performing sales team. This role will be responsible for building relationships, driving sales, and identifying new business opportunities across rural communities, particularly within the silage and feed preservation market.

The role can be based remotely in Southland or from the Christchurch office (Sydenham) and will involve frequent travel across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets across the South Island territory
  • Conduct a minimum of 15 high-quality sales calls per week to maintain strong client engagement
  • Build and nurture relationships with farmers, contractors, and agri-supply partners
  • Grow brand and product presence within rural markets through site visits, events, and industry field days
  • Provide technical support and product knowledge on silage film, net wrap, and twine
  • Deliver accurate forecasting, customer reporting, and CRM updates
  • Support internal teams with insights and contribute to wider sales planning initiatives

Who We’re Looking For

  • Proven background in B2B or agri sales, preferably within the feed preservation or rural supplies space
  • Track record of growing customer bases and meeting/exceeding targets
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Technically capable and confident presenting solutions tailored to rural clients
  • Commercially driven, organised, and self-motivated
  • Comfortable with frequent regional travel
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills; D365 CRM/ERP experience advantageous
  • Full, unrestricted driver’s licence
