About the Role

Our client is a well-established building supplies merchant with a strong reputation for delivering quality products and outstanding service to the construction industry. Due to continued growth, they're looking for a Sales Coordinator to join their Christchurch team.

This is a fast-paced, relationship-driven role where you'll be the first point of contact for trade customers, providing product advice, preparing quotations and coordinating orders from enquiry through to delivery. Working closely with internal departments, you'll help ensure projects stay on schedule while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries via phone, email and in person
• Prepare accurate quotations and follow up sales opportunities
• Process customer orders and coordinate deliveries
• Provide product advice and recommend practical solutions
• Build strong relationships with builders, contractors and trade customers
• Support commercial projects, tenders and contract pricing
• Work closely with warehouse, purchasing and logistics teams
• Maintain accurate customer records and pricing information

About You

• Experience in internal sales, trade sales or a building merchant environment
• Knowledge of construction materials or the building industry is advantageous
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong organisational skills with a high level of accuracy
• Ability to prioritise competing tasks in a busy environment
• Positive attitude with a team-focused approach
