
Our client is a long-standing national construction and manufacturing organisation known for delivering large-scale commercial and industrial projects across New Zealand. They’re looking for a Plant &Equipment Manager who knows the realities of a construction site and understands how plant and machinery keep projects moving. The successful candidate is someone who understands how sites operate, and can confidently coordinate with Project Managers, Site Managers, and plant teams to keep equipment working efficiently across multiple projects.
About the Role
· Coordinate and plan the use of plant, machinery, and equipment across multiple construction sites
· Forecast upcoming project needs to ensure the right machinery is onsite at the right time
· Maximise utilisation of equipment by reducing down time
· Work closely with Site Managers, Project Managers, and the plant logistics team to align planning and resourcing
· Monitor equipment movements and ensure machinery transitions smoothly between sites
· Support project delivery by ensuring sites are fully prepared before equipment arrives
· Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in resource and equipment planning
· Use your construction knowledge to advise on what equipment is needed for specific tasks or project phases
