About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Import Operations Specialist to join a busy logistics team. This role is focused on coordinating import shipments from origin through to final delivery, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and a high level of customer service.

You’ll be managing multiple shipments at once, working closely with overseas agents, shipping lines, and local transport providers to keep everything moving smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end import shipments (sea and/or air freight)
• Prepare and manage shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading and customs requirements
• Liaise with international agents, carriers, and local service providers
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve any delays or issues
• Provide regular updates and support to customers
• Ensure accurate job costing, invoicing, and system updates

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in import operations or freight forwarding
• Strong knowledge of shipping processes and documentation
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
• Confident communicator with a customer-focused approach
• Experience with CargoWise (or similar systems) is advantageous
