The Role

This role is focused on planning, scheduling, and coordinating logistics activity within a large manufacturing operation. You’ll work closely with production and supply chain teams to plan freight requirements, manage capacity, and ensure product is dispatched in line with operational schedules.

It’s a role for someone who enjoys forward planning, problem-solving, and keeping moving parts aligned in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule freight movements to align with production and dispatch plans
  • Manage transport capacity and booking timelines across air, sea, and domestic freight
  • Act as a key contact for customers regarding their orders and logistics timings
  • Coordinate dispatch priorities and cut-off times with internal teams
  • Monitor schedules, identify risks, and adjust plans as conditions change
  • Maintain accurate planning and shipment data in ERP systems (JD Edwards, SAP, or similar)
  • Work with freight partners to confirm availability, lead times, and service levels
  • Support continuous improvement across logistics planning and scheduling processes

About You

  • Experience in international logistics planning, scheduling, or supply chain coordination
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage changing priorities
  • Comfortable working in a 24/7 operational or manufacturing environment
  • Experience using ERP systems such as JD Edwards, SAP, or similar
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Clear communicator who works well across production, logistics, and external partners
