About the role

As General Manager – Finance, you’ll be a key member of our senior leadership team, responsible for driving Hagley’s financial strategy, performance, and governance.

This is a hands-on leadership role — balancing strategic insight with practical delivery. You’ll oversee all financial management activities including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, reporting, and compliance to ensure sustainable growth and financial strength.

Working closely with the CEO and operations leaders, you’ll provide the clarity and control needed to keep our manufacturing business performing at its best.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the company’s financial strategy, aligning finance with long-term business goals
  • Oversee budgeting, cash flow, forecasting, and monthly performance reporting
  • Drive continuous improvement in cost control, pricing, and manufacturing efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and governance obligations
  • Lead, mentor, and support the finance team across both transactional and analytical functions
  • Partner with operational and executive leaders to drive profitability and accountability

About you

You’re a commercially astute finance leader who thrives in both strategic and operational settings. You bring energy, structure, and insight — able to lead a small team while staying close to the detail that drives success.

You’ll also have:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ / CPA) qualification
  • Proven success in a senior finance or GM-level role
  • Strong experience in manufacturing, cost accounting, or complex operational environments
  • Deep understanding of cash flow, treasury, and risk management
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership style
