This interesting organisation, with household name brands, is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Manager. You will play a crucial role in supporting the Finance team and collaborating with colleagues across Corporate Accounting here in NZ and Offshore. Reporting to the Financial Controller, and leading a team of 3 you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely reporting in this hands-on yet strategic role. This role may suit a candidate who is looking to step up to Finance Manager level, or a seasoned Finance Manager looking for a change.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end process, ensuring accurate and timely financial results across all divisions.
• Maintain and update budget/forecast templates & models
• Prepare variance commentaries
• Supervise and mentor 3 direct reports in the transactional accounting team
• Ensure timely and accurate regulatory (statutory/taxation) returns and reporting
• Collaborate with Commercial Analyst to create financial presentations for management meetings
• Manage statutory audits, including interim and year end audits
• Work with Reporting Accountant on timely quarterly reporting requirements
• Build strong relationships with operations, sales, supply, and finance teams
• Identify financial and operational risks and advise on mitigation strategies
• Ad-hoc projects and reports

About you:

• CA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification
• 6+ years in financial and management accounting roles
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/US GAAP
• Experience in medium or large multinational firms
• Proficient in reconciliation of complex general ledger accounts
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English, with excellent communication and time management
• Advanced Excel skills
• Self-motivated, proactive, with strong leadership and mentoring skills
