The Opportunity

Our client is a successful New Zealand-based manufacturer exporting premium products to customers around the world. With strong demand across established and emerging markets, the business is focused on strengthening its global sales capability while ensuring supply keeps pace with growth.

They are seeking an experienced Export Sales Manager to take ownership of international markets, build long-term customer trade relationships, and align sales activity with inventory and demand planning to support sustainable growth.

The Role

You will manage key export accounts, identify new market opportunities, and work closely with operations to align sales forecasts, inventory levels, and supply planning.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage and grow sales across established international markets
  • Develop new export opportunities and expand global distribution channels
  • Build strong relationships with overseas customers, agents, and partners
  • Lead demand forecasting to support production planning and stock availability
  • Oversee inventory planning to ensure alignment between sales demand and supply
  • Monitor global market trends, pricing movements, and competitor activity
  • Work cross-functionally with operations and supply chain teams to ensure efficient order fulfilment

About You

You’re a commercially driven export professional who understands both international sales strategy and the operational planning required to support it.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience managing export or international sales markets
  • Strong relationship management skills with global customers and partners
  • Experience working with forecasting, demand planning, or inventory coordination
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to analyse market trends and opportunities
  • Confidence working cross-functionally with operations or supply chain teams
  • A proactive and strategic approach to growing export markets
