We’re partnering with a well-established and award-winning Insurance Brokerage that’s on the lookout for an Associate Insurance Broker to join their team as part of their continued growth.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone currently in an Associate Broker role wanting greater career opportunities or a Broker Support who has completed their New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) (General Insurance) and is ready to take the next step into a client-facing broking position.

You’ll be supported by experienced brokers, inherit a small portfolio to manage, and gradually build your own book while developing your technical and relationship management skills.

The Role

Working closely with senior brokers, you’ll gain hands-on exposure across all aspects of commercial broking, including:

  • Supporting the management of an existing commercial portfolio
  • Growing your book via trusted referral partners and an established pipeline
  • Assisting with renewals, endorsements, and client queries
  • Building relationships with clients and insurer partners
  • Progressively taking ownership of your own clients and portfolio

This is a structured pathway into a full broking role, with strong mentorship and clear development milestones.

About You

  • Experience in a commercial insurance broking or broker support role
  • Completed New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) (General Insurance
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Eager to learn and step into a client-facing role
  • Organised, proactive, and career-driven
  • A genuine interest in building a long-term career in insurance
