About the role

We're partnering with a well-established national supplier operating within the plumbing and trade sector that's looking for an experienced Account Manager to join their team, covering the Lower North Island.

This is an excellent opportunity for a relationship-focused sales professional who enjoys building strong customer partnerships, understanding customer needs and delivering practical solutions. You'll manage an established portfolio while identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts and develop new business across your territory.

Working closely with customers and internal teams, you'll become a trusted advisor, ensuring clients receive outstanding service while supporting continued business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow an established portfolio of customer accounts, building strong long-term relationships.
• Identify new opportunities within existing accounts by understanding customer needs and recommending suitable solutions.
• Prepare quotes, manage sales opportunities and work closely with internal teams to deliver exceptional service.
• Maintain regular customer contact, account plans and accurate sales activity across your territory.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in account management, territory sales or business development ideally within the plumbing or trades sector.
• Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to develop trusted customer partnerships.
• Experience working with technical products, trade customers, merchants or a similar industry environment.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage your own territory.
