Trade Sales Support

Location: Christchurch, Canterbury

Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 per year

We are partnering with a reputable building and construction supplier that has built a strong name in the local trade market through quality products and dependable customer service.

This is an opportunity for a Trade Sales Support to join their team and play a key role in supporting builders, contractors, and trade customers. From answering product enquiries and preparing quotes through to processing orders and coordinating deliveries, you’ll help ensure customers receive a seamless service from enquiry to completion.

About the Role

Based in the branch, you’ll work closely with customers and the wider sales and operations teams to keep orders moving and projects on track.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing customer enquiries across phone, email, and the trade counter

  • Preparing quotes, pricing jobs, and processing orders accurately

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with trade customers

  • Providing product advice and helping customers find the right solutions

  • Liaising with warehouse, logistics, purchasing, and external sales teams

  • Supporting larger orders, tenders, and commercial projects

  • Following up on quotes and customer requirements

  • Keeping up to date with products and developments across the building industry

  • Providing general support to the wider sales team as required

About You

We’re looking for someone who is confident dealing with customers and enjoys working in a busy, hands-on environment. You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in internal sales, customer service, or a trade environment

  • Building, construction, or merchant industry experience is advantageous

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability

  • Confidence working with quotes, orders, and pricing

  • A practical, solutions-focused approach

  • The ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
