Branch Manager

Location: Christchurch, Canterbury

Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 per year

We are looking for an experienced Branch Manager to take ownership of a busy trade-focused branch. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys managing people, working with customers and taking responsibility for the overall performance and day-to-day running of a branch.

You’ll lead and support a team while maintaining strong relationships with trade and commercial customers. The role combines people leadership with sales, customer service and operational responsibility, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and being actively involved in the business.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead, manage and motivate the branch team

• Oversee day-to-day branch and yard operations

• Build strong relationships with trade and commercial customers

• Drive sales, customer service and overall branch performance

• Manage stock, health & safety and operational standards

About you:

• Previous experience in a Branch Manager, 2IC, Team Leader or senior trade-based role

• Proven experience managing, motivating and developing a team

• Relevant trade, industrial, construction, engineering or technical industry experience is highly desirable

• Strong customer service, communication and relationship-building skills

• Commercially minded, organised and confident making decisions

• Practical and comfortable working in a hands-on branch environment

• A natural leader who can lead by example and take ownership
