Assistant Accountant

Location: Christchurch Central, Canterbury

Salary: $70,000 – $85,000 per year

Our client, a leader in their industry is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their team. In this role you will be providing support to the rest of the finance team in a fast paced and broad assistant accountant role. This role is a 8-month contract role with an opportunity for extension.

Your role as the Assistant Accountant will include but not limited to:

• Assisting with year-end accounts

• Cash flow management

• Balance sheet reconciliations

• Monthly management reports

• Preparation of GST and FBT returns

• Accounts payable and receivable

• Accruals and journal entries

To be considered for this Assistant Accountant role, you will have the following skills and attributes:

• Accounting qualifications or equivalent experience

• Prior experience with month-end journals and GL reconciliations

• Immediately available
