This newly created Payroll position will be responsible for the preparation and processing of payrolls across NZ, Australia, the US & Canada. The ideal candidate will be available to work 20hrs per week, with flexibility to suit.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller key responsibilities will include:

• End to end processing of the New Zealand payroll
• Manage employee maintenance tasks such as onboarding, terminations & updating employee information
• Ensure compliance with New Zealand payroll legislation and IRD requirements
• Liaise with outsourced payroll providers for Australia and manage staff queries
• Oversee US and Canadian payroll processes and associated tasks
• Handling payroll queries and follow up
• Conduct group payroll reconciliations and bank reconciliations
• Group payroll reconciliations and monthly payroll reconciliations

Skills and experience required:

• A minimum of 3-4 years payroll experience
• Previous experience using MYOB Advanced Payroll preferred but not essential
• Knowledge of relevant employment legislation and statutory obligations
• Effective time management skills
• The ability to work autonomously and independently, as well as part of a team
• A strong level of accuracy and attention to detail
